Nature of the Human Spirit
written by Barry Jones
Our nature is to give and receive love. All other requirements are not essential to the basic experience of giving and receiving love. From this basic requirement or shall we say experience, come different expressions of love. During our life experience we learn through various methods and teachers how to express love in wide and varied ways. This is where interpretation and distortion creeps in.
Love is taught to us, to be in the giving. To give to another is believed to be the ultimate expression of love, and it is. However when distortion has been taught, giving becomes a self ingratiating act to feed ones own needs to meet the learned criteria shown to us through the distorted thinking of others. It ceases to be a natural process without effort or self judgement.
Expressing love is the essential nature of a Soul. The absolute energy of a Soul is love. The human spirit made manifest on the earth plane reflects and directs this love. There is no need to consciously do anything with love, it just is. Just as light radiates its essence for all to use and see, a Soul needs only to exist to illuminate the world. All other things or doing is unnecessary. You are, there is nothing to prove. The light of love radiates from the Soul effortlessly when unhindered.
Love can be expressed without words or actions. Love does not have to be willfully or consciously demonstrated. Love is a state of being not an emotion. A beautiful bird does not have to express anything except its presence for us to fully appreciate its beauty. A beautiful being is just that, and it is known by all who come into the energy field of that person. If we believe that we must consciously demonstrate love, then we stifle the natural flow that is already there. The fear of not being loving enough blocks completely the natural expression of who you are. When you know you are love, you no longer need to think about who you are or feel a need to demonstrate.
The nature of the human spirit is love, expressed through joy and happiness. Here we see the ultimate expression of the inner God. To lose contact with our true nature is to choose fearful thoughts and generate energy around us that blocks out our light. The cause of all unhappiness is fear. Love is the doorway to complete fulfillment and expression of our true nature. Nothing can bring unhappiness to us except fear, a totally unnatural state of being. We fear everything that is perceived through the ego , especially our guilt. From our past we judge ourselves and others in the present, perpetuating fear and guilt. Surrounding ourselves in darkness not allowing our light or other peoples to shine. This is diametrically opposed to our loving nature, that has within it an unlimited supply of forgiveness. Only fear stops forgiveness.
Your true nature has no limits or boundaries in spirit. The universe is you and you are the universe. You reflect all of the Creator. Yet you fear loss of what you cannot lose. You cry out for a gift that you have already as your birthright. You believe what your own manufactured fear tells you, rather than accepting what an all powerful, loving Creator has already presented you with in the beginning.
Our nature is to fully express our inner light. In this expression we will dissolve fear in ourselves and others. Where light shines darkness cannot exist.
In expression of our true nature it is necessary to let go of fear. This first step seems huge. When a child first jumps of a springboard at the swimming pool and experiences the exhilaration of breaking through the fear, wonders why they took so long to decide to jump. We procrastinate terribly at jumping into life through our own wall of fear. The exhilaration we experience when showing our loving and forgiving nature is an endless experience of the heart. A freedom that is magical, yet real and everlasting. A knowing that we are allowing our true self to shine through.
The only constant state we can have, is the experience of self. Self requires endless growth through experience. Constantly expanding our consciousness through realisations derived from lessons. Our uniqueness is seen in the ability to be conscious of our thoughts. We can observe our internalised reactions to external events. The resultant effect on us is bought about by our reactions to our thoughts. Every being can react differently, thereby creating their own reality. Reaching for consistency, as every person is destined to do, we find that the experience of our true nature is and will always be found on our inner journey. There is no end to the experiences and realities in our universe as we are the center of that universe. The light of love is the pathway down which we find consistency and change at the same time. The inner experience of self brings peace, and the ever changing external experiences bring to us the challenge to remain in that peace, embracing love and not fear. To be in this place, allows us to see the truth in all situations. We are enlightened when we always see truth in all things and events. Fear cannot exist as we approach the enlightened state. This is the point when effort disappears and our true nature takes over. The struggle has ceased. Fear must go in order that love can fully express itself.
This continued reaction to negative thoughts from which we perceive terrible future events, is usually unfounded. Here we are listening to the controlling ego. A person who falls victim to their egos fear suffers needlessly for far longer than necessary. The lead up to the event can be a longer time period than the event itself. And the event itself is nearly always less traumatising than the expectation held. So if the event time equals 3 in time span and the lead up time is 6 we have unnecessarily added two thirds of pain and anxiety into our life that we need not have suffered. We could have reduced our suffering by living and enjoying life in the moment. We know that physical death is inevitable, We do not know the hour it will come, and we do not spend our whole life stressing about it. So as experiences of life approach us judgement through the egos fear needs to be abandoned. Non judgement of and allowing events to play out their energy without physical or psychic interference will allow the karma to present itself as it was meant to. Only then will the truth be seen. The best result possible is bought about by love not fear. Fear and judgement will blind you to the truth, love will let you see clearly what you need to learn.
Lessons are like death and taxes, so it is far better to accept them and learn while we enjoy our life.
Our nature is to be loving and joyful, so why do we deviate from that path. As fear blinded us to our true nature, we then got ourselves really lost. Seeing ourselves as a separate entity we became fearful of loss. Believing that we needed to grasp and profit to survive we lost our true nature in fear. If we all took care of each other, want in the world would give way to love and fear would become a dream
The Light of God shines within you, let it shine.
